FENCHURCH "NYC WALKS" PHOTO EXPO

La mirada que se esconde detrás de estas fotografías es la de Sònia Tapiolas, una joven barcelonesa, que después de estudiar bellas artes, abandonó sus pinceles para capturar la realidad desde la fotografía. En su palmarés luce el premio LUX júnior 2004, premio nacional de fotografía, que se le concedió por su proyecto NYC WALKS, un total de 22 imágenes captadas por los rincones más desconocidos de Nueva York, donde vivió durante un año. Apartó su mirada de la de los colosos, para interesarse por lo que sucedía a ras de suelo y descubrir así la verdadera gran manzana. La inaguración del tur NYC Walks by Sònia Tapiolas, se presentará el 20 de Abril en Free Barcelona, C/Viladomat 319. / Sónia Tapiolas is the name of the young barcelonian girl who´s behind this project, after studying art for many years, she left the penbrush and took a camera, so she could show the reality from her point of view. She won a price called LUX junior 2004 with her work "NYC WALKS", 22 pictures from the most unknown places in New york, she lived there for one year. She was not interested in all the big buildings, she took a closer look to what was happening on N.Y.´s ground instead, so she could show to us the real big apple. The opening party of this expo by Sónia Tapiolas will take place on the 20th of april at Free store, Viladomat street 319.
