NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH

La semana pasada se celebró la première a nivel europeo del "Nothing but the truth" de Nike Sb en Londres, tambien tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a una presentación privada de la colección del invierno 2008 con los diseñadores de Sb. Días antes se hizo una presentación en Barcelona, sólo para unos 100 invitados en un lugar de lujo, podeis ver como fué en el video de abajo. El film es más una peli de patín que un video convencional, el skate que aparece es de un nivel increible, y entre parte y parte ponen fragmentos en los que salen los riders actuando, no os voy a contar más, teneis que verlo! lo tendremos disponible a final de este mes. Para el mes que viene recibiremos la nueva marca de Black Box, $lave, en el equipo está Matt Mumford,John Allie ,Conhuir Lynn y algunos amateurs. Las tablas son casi todas de 8 pulgadas, promete ser un golpe de aire fresco, una marca interesante por fin! / Black Box Distribution has a new trick under the sleeve, a new board company called $lave, John Allie made the transfer from zero to the new brand, Matt Mumford is back in business with "the chief", also the european Conhuir Lynn among other ams are on the team. The average size of the boards is 8 inches. It seems like this new company will be like a little bit of fresh air, something interesting finally!

GOING BACK TO CALI

Hemos estado en San Diego para asistir a la Asr, la feria de nuestro sector con más renombre, tambien asistimos a la Agenda, otra feria, esta más pequeña pero muy fresca. Ahora es tiempo de vacaciones y mucho skate en Los Angeles, echando fotos para Uno mag y Dogway, y comiendo muchas hamburguesas tambien! / We have been in San Diego for The Asr, the biggest tradeshow in the skate world, we also went to Agenda, a smaller show but still fresh. Right now in L.A., vacation time and lots of skating, shooting photos for Uno mag and Dogway, and eating lots of hamburgers at "In´n´out"!. ASR, San Diego convention center Sunset Blvd L.A. FENCHURCH "NYC WALKS" PHOTO EXPO

La mirada que se esconde detrás de estas fotografías es la de Sònia Tapiolas, una joven barcelonesa, que después de estudiar bellas artes, abandonó sus pinceles para capturar la realidad desde la fotografía. En su palmarés luce el premio LUX júnior 2004, premio nacional de fotografía, que se le concedió por su proyecto NYC WALKS, un total de 22 imágenes captadas por los rincones más desconocidos de Nueva York, donde vivió durante un año. Apartó su mirada de la de los colosos, para interesarse por lo que sucedía a ras de suelo y descubrir así la verdadera gran manzana. La inaguración del tur NYC Walks by Sònia Tapiolas, se presentará el 20 de Abril en Free Barcelona, C/Viladomat 319. / Sónia Tapiolas is the name of the young barcelonian girl who´s behind this project, after studying art for many years, she left the penbrush and took a camera, so she could show the reality from her point of view. She won a price called LUX junior 2004 with her work "NYC WALKS", 22 pictures from the most unknown places in New york, she lived there for one year. She was not interested in all the big buildings, she took a closer look to what was happening on N.Y.´s ground instead, so she could show to us the real big apple. The opening party of this expo by Sónia Tapiolas will take place on the 20th of april at Free store, Viladomat street 319.
